This is the sequel to Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood, which I just recently read. Metamorpho (himself a master of Back from the Dead) remarks that "If you don't find a body, they aren't dead". Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood and Persepolis 2: The Story of a Return are a series of graphic novels by Marjane Satrapi. Graphic Novel Review: 'Persepolis 2′ by Marjane Satrapi. I cant tell you much about it because that would give stuff away if you haven't read the first one. While I loved reading Persepolis 1: The Story of a Childhood, I was not as impressed with Marjane Satrapi's continued memoir, Persepolis 2: The Story of a Return. Satrapi does an excellent job capturing her life growing up in Iran in these pages. Persepolis 2: The Story of Return. Her most famous work is her autobiographical graphic novel Persepolis, which describe her childhood in Iran and her adolescence in Europe. This is the second book to Marjane Satrapi story. Persepolis 2: The Story of a Return by Marjane Satrapi. I would have to say that I never cried on a graphic novel like what I experienced with Satrapi's two graphic novels. Satrapi's illustrations aren't in and of themselves particularly special, but her story is and absolutely worth reading. Forced by her parents to flee Iran in the face of the Iran-Iraq war, Marjane Satrapi picks up her story from Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood (read my review here) in Vienna where her parents have sent her. I'm already eager to pick up Persepolis II, the story of Satrapi's return to Iran after years spent studying abroad. €�Persepolis 2: The Story of a Return” a comic by Marjane Satrapi (France). The story follows the author, Marjane Satrapi, as she illustrates parts of her life in oppressed and war torn Iran. This really happened to author of Persepolis 1 and 2 (Marjane Satrapi), which is depicted in Persepolis 2, "The Story of A Return".
